Celebrating Healthcare Education Industry Partnership Day! 

January 13, 2018:  Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed December 13, 2018 as Healthcare Education Industry Partnership Day, noting that:

 “The Health Education Industry Partnership (HEIP) serves as a national model for a sector-based approach that brings together healthcare employers, educators, associations, and state agencies.

 HealthForce Minnesota celebrated that anniversary at a conference where Laura Beeth, who has served as Chair of HEIP since its inception received kudos from Minnesota State Chancellor Devinder Mulhatra who described her “a partner, friend and passionate advocate for the healthcare industry.”.

Valerie DeFor, Executive Director of HealthForce Minnesota presented Beeth with an award in recognition of 20 years of leadership on the council. “Her participation and leadership mean the world to us," said DeFor.

Among the many notable initiatives the Council has spearheaded, are:

The Clinical Care Coordination Partnership (TCCP) The Clinical Coordination Partnership (TCCP) helps streamline the complex series of interactions that used be required in order for schools and clinical sites to schedule and track student clinical experiences.

 A HealthCare Core Curriculum (HCCC) that teaches the basic skills needed for any healthcare career is now in use at high schools and colleges throughout the state and across the nation.

Scrubs Camp: Fun, hands-on, camp experiences designed to get students excited about careers in healthcare — and appeal to racially and economically diverse kids across the state.
