Care Providers of Minnesota
Care Providers of Minnesota is a statewide, non-profit trade association representing over 500 proprietary, nonprofit, and government-owned providers of long-term care services including nursing facilities, senior housing, assisted living, and home- and community-based services. Its members range from 5-unit housing with services providers to 500-bed skilled nursing facilities.
Established in 1947 as a supportive partner to nursing homes, the Association’s job is to serve the needs of providers across the spectrum of long-term care and support them in giving their clients the highest quality care.
Care Providers of Minnesota exists to empower its members to achieve excellence through advocacy, education, knowledge, resources and support and also to be the visionary leader and essential voice for providers and advancing transformation to meet emerging consumer expectations. At its heart, it is still the relationship between the caregivers and the consumers of care that matters. Among providers, it is the people who make the care good and the system work. The Association is the people in the membership and on the staff who devote themselves to improving conditions for the members and for their clients.
Care Providers of Minnesota is affiliated with the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) and thus addresses the concerns affecting its membership on both the state and the national level.
